The first day started with snow covered and icy
roads for our first few hours of driving. McDonalds in WVA was our
first stop. Jen did an excellent job of driving
the whole 13 hours and 710 miles to Savannah, Georgia. |
   Although
the weather delayed us about an hour and a half, the first leg of the trip
was a mix of caution and enjoyment. |
Of course we were alert going thru Summersville, WVA., aka... Speed Trap
USA. True to form the police were out doing what they do best there
and that is relieving out of state drivers of some of their money. |
  But
even though the roads at times were dangerous, everyone felt safe that Jeff
was on duty to watch out for problems ahead. |
