We departed Pittsburgh International Airport for JFK airport in New York on Monday morning.  After a 3 1/2 hour layover in JFK, we flew the 8 hours to Prague on a Czech Airlines A-310.  This year we were treated to the  beautiful sunrise while we were over Germany.

We arrived at Kosice airport at 8 in the morning on Tuesday and were greeted by Jan, Gabriela and Misko and the new member of their family, little Alexandra, Jan's father Jan and his mother Emilia, Stefan and Maria, Marcel, Ludmila and little Lud'ka.  After renting our car for the week, everyone helped us to the hotel with our luggage and we had a small breakfast.

Jeffrey and Jennifer rested a couple hours and at about  2 in the afternoon we walked the few blocks through the side streets to the Centrum
