We departed Pittsburgh for JFK airport in New York where we flew the 8 hours to Prague on a Czech Airlines A-310. Due to cloud cover we couldn't see much during the flight but we were able to see a beautiful sunrise while we were nearing Ireland.

We were greeted at the Kosice airport by Jan, Gabriela and little Misko along with Jan's brother Marcel with Ludmila and there new beautiful baby, Lud'ka.

 We followed Jan as he took us to our Hotel, Hotel Teledom, near the center of Kosice. The hotel and staff were wonderful. We had two huge rooms with twin beds, bathroom and a very large shower room. Every room had internet access and Rachel's nightly ritual was to check her email and instant message her friends.

After a couple hour rest at the hotel we visited Marcel and Ludmila's apartment in Kosice.
